Our CIT program is designed to
provide youth, ages 15 to
17, a combination of work experience and summer fun. Duties include
assisting counselors with activities and groups, preparing for trips and
themed days, cleaning and maintaining the center, being a positive example
to the campers and anything else that will help make a great summer for
our kids. This is
not a paid position but we have been known to reward our C.I.T.s
throughout the summer with surprises and special activities.
Summer Camp Counselor
Our
counselors are the most important component of our program. They are
creative, energetic and mature leaders. ATAC counselors are responsible for
the planning and execution of daily center activities, as well as, the
implementation of groups trips and themed days. This job can be incredibly
rewarding but requires more commitment, patients and energy than the
average summer job. ATAC counselors
need to have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education college units.
First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus but can also be provided. If
you're up to the challenge, we'd love to have you on staff.
Summer Camp Assistant Counselor
Assistant counselors share most of
the duties as regular counselors with the exception of being solely
responsible for a group of children. They are paired with a counselor or
program director and work together to implement the program's activities
and trips.
